Piper appointed patron of schools Shakespeare company
Billie Piper has been named as a new patron of the Primary Shakespeare Company.
She joins fellow actor Hugh Bonneville as a public supporter of the group, which works with children in schools to interpret and perform Shakespeare plays.
Explaining her endorsement, Piper said the company is “helping children to really engage with their education”.
“They give an opportunity for parents to see how their children are learning and progressing – I think their work is essential,” she added.
